A Message From the Dean of Students

As dean of students, my goal is to cultivate an inclusive and supportive community where every student is able to thrive and reach their full potential. Guided by the university’s motto, Ut Prosim (That I May Serve), I am honored to advocate for students and advance student success with university leaders, faculty, staff, and student leadership. I strive every day to create a welcoming and encouraging environment for not just the student body, but for all members of the Virginia Tech community.

Our Goals

  • Engage, educate, equip, and empower students.
  • Support and care for students during crisis.
  • Encourage students to use university and community resources.
  • Work and advise with both our heads and our hearts.
  • Respect the student and the advocacy process.
